Blank’s Insurance Agency was founded in 1936 by S.H. (Joker) Blank, selling life insurance, and ever since then, the business has been a family affair. November 1950, Joker’s eldest son Donald S. Blank joined the firm and expanded operations by handling property and casualty lines of insurance. After several years Don’s daughter, Julie Blank Hearring began her insurance career at the agency in September 1977, she then became a partner 1986 and sole owner in 2003. In January of 2002 Rick Bussard brought 10 years of experience to Blank’s Insurance as a new agent, and on January 1st of 2006, he became a partner. The family tradition continues today as Rick’s daughter Lynsie Bussard Weiler has been with the agency since 2007 and Julie’s daughter Allyson Hearring Padilla returned to work in the agency in July 2008, becoming partial owner in 2020.
Combined with Julie, Rick, Lynsie, and Allyson, the staff at Blank’s Insurance has a total of over 200 years of insurance experience! The staff has careers spanning various companies, agencies, and aspects of the insurance business.
